Our Transition to TowneBank

Village-Bank-Banker-Portraits

We are excited to share that on April 1, 2025, Village Bank will become a division of TowneBank. The TowneBank family has extended a warm welcome to our Village Bank family, as you would expect from a company built on the idea of serving others and enriching lives.

While we come under one management team, Village Bank customers will continue to bank as usual at our nine Village Bank locations with our local banking team. For now, your account information and all the ways that you access your Village account – including your Village Bank debit card, online and mobile banking, deposit tickets, checks, and loan payments – remain the same. As a convenience, beginning on April 1, you may use your Village Bank debit and ATM cards at any Towne24 ATM surcharge free. You can find a complete listing at TowneBank.com/Locations.

We are pleased to share that we are removing these charges related to account overdraft and insufficient funds activity:

All other fees, terms, and conditions for your Village Bank products are unaffected at this time. An April mailing and information on this website will include details about what to expect when we become one bank under the TowneBank name in June. You will receive all the information you need about your accounts, debit and credit cards, and access to all the great services that TowneBank provides.

Important FDIC Insurance Information

Both Village Bank and TowneBank provide you with the assurance of FDIC deposit insurance protection. Beginning April 1, the FDIC (will view) views us as a single deposit institution. If you have combined deposit accounts at Village Bank and TowneBank exceeding the standard insurance amount of $250,000, please talk to your banker for guidance. There is a six-month grace period following mergers where insurance coverage remains separate, and in some cases, accountholders may qualify for FDIC insurance coverage well above $250,000. We are here to work with you to make sure you receive the full benefit of your coverage options.

You have our promise we will do everything we can to make the transition as seamless as possible. We look forward to a bright future where your Village family can provide even more resources to meet your financial needs through our affiliation with TowneBank.

Upcoming Changes to the uChoose Rewards Program

You can continue to earn points with your Village Bank Rewards Card through uChoose Rewards® until April 30, 2025. Redeem your points through the online rewards catalog until Friday, June 6, 2025.
